The Meade County Fire Department established a training facility in the very east of Bufallo Hill, this facility is open for the MCoVFD and the MCSD, the facility includes a mock-building, a schooling building, a parking lot, and a driving course.

Mock-Building (West)

The mock building located on the west side of the training facility, it's used for various activities by both the MCoVFD and the MCSD. From combat scenarios to structural firefighting, this building is designed to be damaged and easily repaired. The cost per use ranges from $50–$100 for the MCoVFD and $120–$280 for the MCSD, ensuring that personnel can train effectively without consuming excessive tax dollars needed in other areas.

Mock-Building (South-West)

The school building located on the southwest side of the training facility is used for educational activities by both the MCoVFD and the MCSD. Costing $75,000, it is the most expensive structure in the entire facility.

This building also houses the storage area for gasoline and tools, as well as an office, sleeping quarters, and a classroom.

Driving Course (North)

The driving course located on the northern side of the training facility is used for EVOC-related activities. EVOC stands for “Emergency Vehicle Obstacle Course.”

EVOC is fundamental for maneuvering vehicles safely without damaging property, causing injury, or creating unnecessary disturbances.
